Install and run Turbo C/C++ in fullscreen in any Windows
Most of you might have tried to install and run your favorite C programming IDE (Integrated Development Environment) - the Turbo C (popularly known as TC) in the advanced versions of the Microsoft Windows - vista, 7, 8. But might not have accomplished.
The reason behind this problem is that
the advanced versions of Microsoft Windows just got better enough and advanced that it no longer supports the decades old "DOS" based software.
You may not have faced any trouble with its installation in Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 98 as they supported DOS.
Microsoft Windows after 9x(93,95,98 etc) versions do not run on DOS. They instead run on a completely different Technology called NT(New Technology).
In order to provide compatibility with DOS applications and products, Microsoft introduced a system called NTVDM (NT virtual dos machine) in its latter version of Windows.
The NTVDM emulates DOS like environment to run DOS based applications.
But when Windows evolved with its much advanced versions of the Windows i.e. Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, Microsoft had to remove some capabilities of NTVDM as it faced some incompatibility issues with Aero graphics and stuff.
Thus dos applications and programs have no direct access to the hardware.
Through this tutorial i shall show you how to install turbo C/C++ in Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and also to run it in full screen mode.
