This trick is to display the rules and regulations that must be followed by every user who logs into the PC. The trick is mostly necessary in PC's with multiple users or in the PC in offices, cyber-cafe etc., where it is required to warn the users about the do's and dont's in the PC, before they proceed.


This message will be displayed on the logon screen at every startup just before the Desktop is loaded. This trick can also be used as a prank to scare others with awful warnings or serious OS issues.

Procedure:

1) Open the Run box and type regedit and hit ENTER.
2) On the left pane navigate to the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

   

3) On the right double click on “legalnoticecaption“ and enter any caption and click OK.

                                     

4) Below this look for “legalnoticetext” and enter the Notice Text or message.

                                      

5) From the next startup the legal notice or the message entered will be displayed on the login screen.
