Increase IDM download speed

Although Internet Download Manager (IDM) is the fastest download managing software, it does not download at the highest speed which the ISP provides. In order to have such speed the IDM has to be first optimized. In this tutorial it is discussed how the IDM can be optimized for a better download speed with the help of the registry editor pre

-installed by the windows.

Requirements:

1) Click here to download the file (zip file of  < 2MB). This will be required during the optimization process.

Procedure:

Steps to increase IDM download speed is as follows:

1) Run the exe file downloaded from the above link (as per the instructions mentioned inside the zip).

2) In the IDM go to Downloads > Options.

3) On the Connection type/ Speed, select Other, and the Default Max connection number select 16.

4) In the Drop Down Box under "Connection Type/Speed" click others and in the adjacent box enter a high value like 99999999.

5) Click on OK and restart the PC

Now you shall be experiencing a blazing high download speed using the IDM. Enjoyyyy....
