Reasons to avoid task Killer in ANDROID

In general, a task killers serves the purpose of killing or shutting down unwanted processes and applications. The task killer in Android is a bit different from the one which we use in Windows since Android is based on Linux and Linux has different ways of handling memory.

Technically, in  Android when apps run its resources
get stored in the RAM. This helps the Operating System to open the app faster or load it faster from RAM rather than re-starting it all over again. So when switching between apps, the apps load faster and don’t have to be started all over again.

The prominient disadvantages of a task killer in Android smartphone or  any Android powered device comes to a users' notice mainly in the following areas:

1) A task killer usually kills or shuts down a running application. This only frees up the memory of the RAM which is not the solution to speed up the Android device. The android device slows down when the CPU load increases. Freeing up RAM memory is useless because free RAM memory is wasted and isn’t going to be of any use.

2) A Task Killer will actually cause more load on the CPU as it would be running continually in the background with the purpose of terminating the processes of the applications you don’t wish to run in the background. Resulting in a slower performance.

3) Besides this, some task mangers provide shortcut buttons on the desktop which on pressing may shut down the essential system services or applications and could affect the smooth performance of the Operating System. Imagine killing your Alarm Clock app. The Alarm will not ring when you wanted it to.

 

Conclusion:

Using a Task Killer is not the right idea. If an app is causing problem, uninstall it. The disadvantages as mentioned above are not going to do you any good or is not going to help you increase or boost your Android device's performance in any way. But it may in some way or other hamper your experience with the Android smartphone or devices. Freeing RAM memory does not affect (increase/decrease) battery life.
Linux has a very efficient methods to manage the memory. Tweaking them is not a good idea.
